Founded in 1882, the Actors Fund is a National Human Services organization created to meet the needs of the entertainment community with a unique understanding of the challenges involved in a life in the arts.

*Annual Deusenberg Imperial Ball

Progress in treatment and early detection of breast cancer has led to improved survival chances for people of all ages and races, in all stages. There are more than 3.5 million breast cancer survivors in the US today, more than any other group of cancer survivors. And all of this is made possible by charities like this one.

*Children’s Hospice and Pallative Care Coalition

Provides quality care for seriously ill children through 3 branches:

Communicate: Together we can communicate a common vision of quality pediatric hospice and pallative care, support one another, learn from each other and share our best practices.

Advocate: Speak out on behalf of those too little or too sick to speak for themselves.

Educate: Pediatric Pallative Care Webinar Series accredited training and symposia are designed to educate providers, policy makers and the public in the art and practice of pediatric pallative care.

*Children’s Hospital Los Angeles

This is one of the nation’s leading pediatric hospitals, providing over 350 specialty programs and services since 1961, including the latest, most reliable treatments for children suffering from life threatening illnesses or incurable diseases.

*Dogs Deserve Better

This is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to freeing the chained or penned dogs, as well as helping the dogs that are abused, neglected, homeless or abandoned. The goal is to rescue, rehabilitate, and find those dogs a home where they can live inside with a loving and caring family of their own.

*Environmental Justice Foundation

EJF’s belief is that we all depend on the natural environment for our livelihoods and well-being, and environmental security is a fundamental human right.

*Great Ormond Street Hospital

A children’s hospital in the UK that provides rebuilding and refurbishment services, support for families and children, supports research into children’s health and supplies life saving medical equipment when needed.

Helen and Douglas House

The Helen and Douglas house is a children’s hospital that helps terminally ill children and their families, allowing the children to live life to the fullest, even when that life is short. It is a home away from home for local terminally ill children and their families. The staff provides around-the-clock care in a warm, loving environment. It is a “comforting cocoon filled with laughter”, a peaceful place where families can create happy memories in their last days, weeks, months, or years together. Parents, brothers, sisters and grandparents are all a part of the Helen and Douglas family. At the toughest time of their lives, Helen and Douglas House gives families the time and space to enjoy the precious moments they have left with each other. In the midst of exhaustion and grief, Helen and Douglas House staff will help them cope with their child’s final days.

Julian House

Julian House is a charity that supports vulnerable and at-risk individuals. This includes adults and young people experiencing homelessness, escaping domestic abuse, adults with learning difficulties and people who need support after leaving prison. Every year, they sponsor over 40 different projects, accommodation sites and special enterprises across South West England, and help support over 1800 vulnerable individuals. These projects include their homeless outreach services, a 20 bed emergency access hostel, and various other support systems. They also run multiple training programs, like the bike workshops in Bath and Trowbridge, to help people regain confidence, learn new, transferrable work skills, get back into education, volunteering, and employment. Their projects not only address the symptoms of homelessness but also the underlying reasons why men, women and children are forced onto the streets.

Much Love Animal Rescue

This shelter exists to rescue abused, neglected and homeless animals from the streets and shelters of Los Angeles and place them in loving homes. 100% non-profit, it’s run primarily by volunteers who offer their time and resources to house, train, transport and care for these animals. since 1999, they have placed over 6800 animals in their forever homes.

Parkinson Society Maritime Region

PSMR is the voice of Maritimers living with Parkinson’s disease. It is the only registered not-for-profit Parkinson’s organization serving this population. Their mission is to “Ease the Burden, Find a Cure” through support services, education, advocacy and research.

Project HOME

Their mission is to empower adults, children and families to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty, to alleviate the underlying causes of poverty, and to enable all of us to attain our fullest potential as individuals and as members of the broader society. Ronald McDonald House Charities

The first Ronald McDonald House opened in Philadelphia, PA in 1974 after realizing the need to stay close to their hospitalized child. As more Houses opened around the world, it became clear that caring for the families of sick children was as important as caring for the sick child. That was the beginning of the Ronald McDonald House Charities’ unique role as a children’s charity, enabling, supporting and facilitating family-centered care. The RMH programs allow parents who are far from home to stay close to their hospitalized child and benefit from the comforts of home without incurring hotel room and food bills. RMH Family Room programs offer a quiet respite for all families right there inside the hospital. and RMH Care Mobile programs bring fundamental medical and dental care to under-served communities. RMHC provides more than 1.4 million overnight stays each year, helping families save over $443 million in lodging and meal expenses.

The Art of Elysium

The Art of Elysium was founded in 1997 to support artists who are working for the benefit of others. AoE staff pair volunteer artists with communities in Los Angeles to support individuals in the midst of difficult life challenges like illness, hospitalization, displacement, confinement, and or other crises. They serve medically fragile children, teens, adults, seniors, those dealing with social, emotional and mental health issues, and the homeless. AoE team members work with volunteer artists to craft creative, tailor-made programs for the populations they serve. They currently offer 10 programs a month and serve over 30,000 individuals a year. Volunteer artists, after working with the community, are then eligible for support services ranging from artist salons and networking events to showcases and distribution opportunities.

Launched in 2011, created by actor Ken Watanbe in response to the devastating earthquake that rocked Japan in March, 2011.

War Child

War Child is committed to protecting and supporting children affected by armed conflict. War Child empowers them to claim their rights, develop to their fullest potential and contribute to a more peaceful future for themselves and their communities. Together, they help children and young people make their voices heard. War Child International is comprised of three implementing offices: War Child UK, War Child Holland and War Child Canada. Although each organization was founded- and operates- independently, they are brought together through their common vision and dedication to supporting children and young people affected by war. They also have offices in the US, Sweden, Ireland and Australia. Together they are able to leverage their individual and collective strengths to reach more children and have a deeper impact.
